Those suspected of being involved in a murder that has shocked the central Cuban province of Sancti Spiritusare in the custody of the Ministry of the Interior (Minint)according to official media on the island.
The security body itself confirmed this Monday to the local newspaper Escambray the identification and subsequent arrest of those possibly responsible for the death of the 62-year-old citizen Santiago Diosdado Morgado, whose body was found last July 4 after an intense search that had begun three days earlier.
The Headquarters of the Criminal Investigation Body of the province also reported that, as a result of the investigative process itself, the stolen red Suzuki motorcycle was recovered, as well as the deceased’s helmet, the newspaper said.

Previously, Major Yéster Reyes Marrero, first officer of the Headquarters of the Policeman in the territory, had explained through the local media, the creation of a working group for the direct investigation and clarification of an event that, due to its violent nature, caused a stir in the people of Sancti Spiritus.
At that time, Reyes Marrero also pointed out that the Minint officers accompanied Morgado Morgado’s family in the search for the body, an action in which Education directors also participated, a sector in which the victim had worked for decades.
The police headquarters of Sancti Spíritus also recognized the support of the population in the investigative process that is taking place as a result of the murder, which occurred on the afternoon of July 1.
According to the note published by Escambrayinvestigations are currently continuing in order to further clarify what happened and detail the responsibility of each of those involved in the event.
