Cuba sends condolences to Algeria for forest fires

The Cuban Minister of External relationshipsBruno Rodríguez, sent his condolences this Friday to Algeria for the victims of the forest fires that affect that African country.

“Cuban health collaborators who provide services in affected regions are well and contribute to the work of caring for the injured,” the foreign minister added in his message on Twitter, without specifying the number of doctors and other health professionals in the area. the Island that are in Algerian lands.

The official death toll in the forest fires that have swept northeast Algeria since last Wednesday is 38 people, 11 of them minors, reported Civil Protection of the North African nation.

At least 160 people were injured, including ten firefighters, in the twenty fires that have been registered in the cities of Souk Ahras, Sétif, Guelma and El Tarf.

The Prime Minister, Aimen Benabderrahmane, traveled to the latter, the most affected and the border with Tunisia, to assess the damage and announce aid for the affected families.
