Cuba reports 37 cases of coronavirus in another day without deaths

Until this July 2, a total of 349 patients, 208 suspected of the disease, have been admitted in a day in which 2,429 samples were taken for epidemiological surveillance, with 37 cases being positive.

Of the total, only seven have a source of infection abroad, with 30 positives from previously confirmed contacts, 16 women and 21 men, with 22 asymptomatic.

By age groups, the following were reported: under 20 years old (19), from 20 to 39 years old (9), from 40 to 59 years old (3), from 60 and over (6), on a day in which 57 people returned to their countries , 21 medical discharges were granted and two evacuated.

By provinces, Havana reported the majority of cases (14), while the remaining territories did not add more than five confirmed cases. Pinar del Río, Ciego de Ávila, Granma and Isla de la Juventud did not report positive patients for the new coronavirus.

The report specifies that of the 114 people confirmed to be active, three remain in Intensive Care, of which 1 patient is in critical condition and 2 are in serious condition.
