According to the usual part of the MINSAP, at the close of yesterday, October 29, a total of 40 patients were hospitalized in Cuba, 29 suspected and 11 confirmed active.
For COVID-19, a total of 1,621 samples were taken for surveillance. 3 were positive, for 0.2% positivity. Cuba accumulates 14,193,509 samples carried out and 1,111,284 positive (7.8%).
Of the total of 3 cases, 2 were contacts of confirmed cases, 1 with a source of infection abroad and none without a specified source of infection. Of the 3 cases diagnosed, 2 were female and 1 male.
One asymptomatic case is reported, accumulating a total of 147,512, that is, 13.3% of those confirmed to date.
Of the 3 diagnosed cases, they belong to the age groups: under 20 years of age (1), from 20 to 39 years of age (0), from 40 to 59 years of age (1), and from 60 and over (1).
Of the 1,111,284 patients diagnosed with the disease, 11 remain hospitalized, the 11 with stable clinical evolution. There are 8,530 deaths (0 in the day), case fatality of 0.77% vs 1.04% in the world and 1.58% in the Americas; two evacuated, 57 returned to their countries, on the day there were no discharges, they accumulate 1,102,684 (99.2%).
No serious or critical patients in intensive care are reported.
