A total of 292 new cases of coronavirus were reported this Saturday, in which no person died from the disease.
The Ministry of Public Health indicated in its usual report on the evolution of COVID-19 that 5.8% of infected patients were asymptomatic, while 285 were contacts of patients confirmed with the disease, 3 infected abroad and 4 with no specified source of infection.
Currently, 5,474 patients remain hospitalized, of which 3,670 are suspects, 52 are under epidemiological surveillance, and 1,752 are active.
Of the total confirmed cases, 161 are female and 131 male.
Camagüey reports the highest number of cases (43), followed by Havana (42) and Artemisa (29).
The number of deceased remains at 8,520 and 27 patients are admitted to intensive care. Of them, 11 remain in critical condition and 16 are reported as serious.
