Cuba registered 15 new infections of coronavirus this Sunday, the day in which the referendum on the new Family Code took place on the Island, finally approved at the polls.
The 15 cases were detected after the analysis of 1630 samples, and of them 12 were contacts of confirmed cases, one had its source of infection abroad and in two the origin of the infection had not been specified, according to reported this Monday by the Ministry of Public Health (MINSAP).
In addition, no deaths from COVID-19 were reported on the day and there were 14 medical discharges, with which the number of active patients is now 74, including three seriously ill patients who are treated in intensive care rooms.
Another 55 people are suspected of having the disease, so the number of hospitalized for it is 129, according to Cuban health authorities.

The new cases this Sunday were detected in seven provinces, among which Holguín (4) and Sancti Spíritus (3) were the most affected.
By sex, again the feminine (9) prevailed over the masculine; while by age group, those under 20 were again the majority, with eight cases. The rest were distributed as follows: from 20 to 39 years old (4 cases), from 40 to 59 years old (2) and more than 60, (1).
Finally, only three patients were asymptomatic at the time of their detection, while the two evacuated and the 57 returned to their countries since the start of the pandemic remain, according to the MINSAP.
