The Cuban Foreign Ministry also reported on the exchange between Vice Foreign Minister Anayansi Rodríguez and her Indian counterpart, Saurabh Kumar, in which they ratified the purpose of strengthening bilateral collaboration in areas such as health, biotechnology, renewable energy sources, agriculture, telecommunications, sports and education.
At the meeting they also discussed confronting the pandemic and economic recovery, as well as support in international forums.
India, within the Asia and Oceania region, is one of Cuba’s top 20 trading partners and has granted important lines of credit for the execution of projects in the agricultural and renewable energy sectors.
It has also sent donations to help alleviate the damage caused in Cuba by the devastating Hurricane Irma in 2017, and agricultural equipment to promote bilateral cooperation.
