Cuba once again exceeds one hundred cases of Covid-19 at the end of July

Cuba reports 109 positive cases of Covid-19 this July 31, in a week in which for the third time there were a hundred infections, although without regretting deaths at the end of the month, precise the part of the Ministry of Public Health (Minsap) this Sunday.

To date, 744 patients remain admitted to national medical facilities, while the MINSAP indicates that of the total 298 are suspected and 446 confirmed active.

The 109 infections of the day were the result of the analysis of 2,572 samples for epidemiological surveillance and of the total, 87 are contacts of confirmed cases; three with a source of infection abroad, while in 19 people no source of infection was specified and eight people did not present symptoms of the disease.

Of the total, 60 are women and 49 are male, while by age the report is divided into: under 20 years old (64), from 20 to 39 years old (23), from 40 to 59 years old (9) and 60 years old. and more (13).

By provinces, Holguín registered the highest rate of infections with 24 cases, followed by Sancti Spíritus with 15, Camagüey with 13 and Granma with 11, the only territories with double figures of positive cases. Pinar del Río and the special municipality Isla de la Juventud had no incidents.

The MINSAP report adds that there were 108 medical discharges on the day, two people were evacuated and another 57 returned to their countries, while eight people (1 critical patient and 7 serious patients) are treated in the Intensive Care rooms.
