This event, which will bring together 16 teams for the first time, already has a fixed place for the top 12 places in the most recent ranking that was once again headed by Japan, according to what published through the entity’s website.
In the order that reflects the results in all categories, they are followed by Taiwan, the United States, South Korea, Venezuela, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Panama and the Netherlands.
Cuba dropped one seat compared to the previous update, and completes, along with Australia and the Dominican Republic, the nations with a safe ticket to the fourth edition of the Premier 12.
The new format establishes that the four remaining places will be distributed through two qualifying competitions. The first of them will be held between November 26 and 29 of this year in the Chinese city of Zhongshan, and the other maintains its dates and venue to be defined.

The countries located between 13th and 18th in the ranking will participate in this process along with two teams that would obtain a wild card by WSBC.
During the last edition, the Cuban team marked a discreet stepwith just one success in five presentations, performance declared his goodbye without fulfilling the purpose of advancing to the Super Round.
The cast, then directed by Armando Jhonson, arrived at that event with great expectations, after having reached the semifinals of the most recent World Baseball Classic (WBC), so the performance fell like a bucket of cold water on the island’s fans.
The tournament was won by Taiwan with a victory in the decisive duel over the whole of Japan.
