The President of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel, urged today to care for the most vulnerable people in the family, such as the elderly and children, given the incidence of Covid-19 in the country.
The president announced that in a meeting with the island’s scientists, the behavior of the pandemic was analyzed and although deaths have decreased, more deaths are reported among the elderly with underlying diseases.
“I call on our families, our communities, to take care of the most vulnerable people,” he wrote on his Twitter account.
In addition, he warned that children under two years of age are the most exposed to Covid-19 because they have not yet received any vaccine.
“For them, our scientists urgently seek alternatives; meanwhile, only family protection will keep them safe from the virus,” insisted the ruler.
