The remaining places were obtained in diving (8), archery (8), rhythmic gymnastics (7), artistic gymnastics (6), cycling (4), trampoline gymnastics (4) and sailing (2).
Miranda Carrera pointed out that the purpose of the Antillean delegation will be to be included among the three best nations in the games, in accordance with the number of prizes won.
In that sense, he recognized that it is a “demanding challenge”, taking into account the rivalry with nations “better equipped economically and logistically.”
Among them, he mentioned Mexico and Colombia as the favorites to compete for the forefront in the medal table, given the level that allowed them to occupy the first positions, in that order, at the close of the last edition held four years ago in San Salvador.
The manager also referred to the potential of the Dominican Republic, which as host country should increase the medal harvest compared to previous versions.
