Madrid Spain.- An event on sustainable tourism will take place this Monday in Varadero, as a prelude to the FITCuba 2022 International Tourism Fair.
Called “For tourism for all generations”, experts and managers “will exchange best practices at the international level”, according to the official media Cubadebate.
According to the Ministry of Tourism (MINTUR), FITCuba 2022, which will begin on May 3 and will last until the next day 7, will be a symbol of the sustainable reactivation of tourist activity.

“We will group here possible investors, hotel groups and tour operators from traditional markets, but especially from markets little explored by Cuba,” said MINTUR.
During the week, the calendar of events on the Island related to tourism will also be presented.
In addition, the exhibitions Expo de Tecnologías and Expo de Negocios will be developed. The latter, with the main intention of promoting the Río Canímar theme park and the Varadero Water Park, specifies Cubadebate.
“The Fair will also be the opportunity to relaunch Key Largo, a destination that this year celebrated its 40th anniversary; and launch the tobacco route, whose experience can be lived directly in the FITCuba 2022 post tour”, adds the information.
“We feel like masters of the world: a spectacular beachopen air, an idyllic landscape and plenty of time to relax”, said the MINTUR in Twitterwith respect to Cayo Largo.

When presenting the event “For tourism for all generations”, the island’s authorities reaffirmed their plan to receive around 2.5 million tourists in 2022.
Since the Island Government announced FITCuba 2022, it has been referring to the appointment as an excellent opportunity to show “the potential of Cuban tourism.”
The International Tourism Fair, based in the Varadero resort, will have Russia as guest of honor, at a time when most democratic countries are sanctioning Moscow for its invasion of Ukraine.
