The Prime Minister of Cuba, Manuel Marrero, called today to the Eurasian Economic Union (UEE) to speed up the entry of their country into this organization, during a meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council held in the Kazakh city of Almaty.
Merrero indicated by videoconference that his country, as an observer member of the UEE, “confirms its interest in accelerating our entry into this integration mechanism,” according to the agency. efe.

“We ratify Cuba’s invariable determination to collaborate in the implementation of the strategic guidelines for the development of Eurasian economic integration until 2025,” he said.
The UEE is made up of Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Russia, and Havana maintains “mutually beneficial” association relations with it.
The Government of Havana attaches special importance to the expansion of cooperation in the area of investment and industrial, agricultural and energy development.
In the same way, it works to strengthen relations in the field of tourism with the UEE countries on the basis of the experiences gained from its work with Russia, particularly in the field of “corporate and health tourism”.

“The recognition by international visitors of the natural benefits and cultural attributes of Cuba make our offer attractive, which is reflected in the growing interest that Cuba arouses as a safe and hospitable destination,” he said.
In particular, he invited businessmen from the countries that make up the UEE to participate in the next International Tourism Fair to be held in Havana in May of this year.
