“Art therapy allows us to accompany and relieve the emotional pain of those who need it most,” said Nathaly Dueñas, psychologist and advisor to the Cuban project.
For its part, Cintya Mirelba Pacheco, founder of Capsme, explained that the agreement includes exchanges of professionals and students between the two countries, promoting mutual learning and community care.
Lupe Díaz, creator of the Heart Project, stressed that Cuban specialists will share their methodology, while the Mexican Foundation will contribute school materials, equipment and medicines for children of the home without parental protection.
Cuba and Mexico “consolidate” links in scientific and research matters
Cuba and Mexico have been sealing agreements in the fields of medicine and preventive treatments. Last June both actors signed a protocol for research, prevention and treatment in geriatrics/Alzheimer’s issues, lung cancer and physical rehabilitation.
“The collaboration in research and the exchange of knowledge between scientists and experts in Mexico and Cuba will promote the development of new therapies, diagnostic methods and treatment approaches for neurological diseases, which will strengthen our capacities, bringing medicine to new horizons,” said an official Mexican statement.
