Cuba is currently among the ten countries with the most citizens immunized against the SARS-Cov-2 virus, which causes the COVID-19informed this Wednesday the Ministry of Public Health (MINSAP).
Dr. José Ángel Portal, head of that portfolio, explained that as part of the vaccination strategy, by the end of 2022, 97% of the population had been immunized, according to a note from the Prensa Latina (PL) agency.

The hospitalization of 218 patients was also reported, 103 of them suspected of having contracted the disease, although none of them receive care in intensive care units.
For several times Cuba has not reported deaths related to COVID-19, which has caused the death of 8,530 people since the start of the pandemic.
