Tonight’s selection marks a historic milestone and represents an important step towards inclusion in the competition.
The decision to include Cuba in the contest this year responds to a “vision” of the organization that seeks “inclusion, regardless of the existing political paradigms,” Prince Julio César said in this regard. “The idea is to give the opportunity to women as a whole so that they can express their qualities and virtues and carry a message,” she added.
