Cuba abolishes the use of the nasobuco as of May 31

As of tomorrow, May 31, the use of the mask will no longer be mandatory in Cuba, authorities from the Ministry of Public Health (MINSAP) reported today.

As part of the measures to be fulfilled in the new stage related to the control of COVID-19, it was established to eliminate its obligation in all social activities, except in medical consultations and hospitalization services that require it, and in areas with restrictions. during focus checks.

The Minsap recommended using them in places where people gather and where it is not possible to maintain adequate physical distance.

He reported that the policy of not allowing people with respiratory symptoms to enter workplaces and students is maintained.

In addition, in each of these places, as well as in the health services and food preparation and sale areas, the necessary resources to wash hands and disinfect them must be guaranteed.

The Minsap reported the elimination of the mandatory use of foot steps, although it directed maintaining the disinfection of surfaces for collective use with 0.5% sodium hypochlorite or 70% hydroalcoholic solution.

Finally, it recommended carrying out systematic and updated training for workers on hygienic standards for individual and collective protection.
