With criticism of the Santa Cruz leaders, the leader of the Confederación Sindical Única de Trabajadores Campesinos de Bolivia (Csutcb), Fausto Escalante, announced this Wednesday that they are preparing a march to the department of Santa Cruz to demand the endowment of land.

“That (the land) is going to be distributed. The march will be made towards Santa Cruz. That is the second march that is going to be called, (already) it has stayed ”, said Escalante, in a report by radio Fides.

This announcement comes two days after the march of the Movement Toward Socialism (MAS) in support of the Government arrived in La Paz.

In this scenario, several leaders of social sectors issued warnings that gave account of the transfer of the mobilization to the eastern region.

Even the leader of the Central Obrera Boliviana (COB), Juan Carlos Huarachi, warned with the nationalization of Santa Cruz companies, although this Wednesday he retracted and assured that the press misinterpreted him.

According to the Csutcb leader, the president of the Pro Santa Cruz Committee, Rómulo Calvo, the governor Luis Fernando Camacho and the former minister Branko Marinkovic, they have a large amount of land that must be distributed to the peasants of that region and the west.

“We are already tired of landowners such as Calvo, Camacho and Marinkovic monopolizing the lands in Santa Cruz, as peoples with an agrarian vocation we claim the land for our children, for our professionals, the march will come and claim those lands,” Escalante said

“This time we are going to do it for real (a march), because that is how we have achieved (our demands), that is how we are going to make ourselves respect social organizations,” he emphasized.
