A new tender for the purchase of hemodialysis equipment will be carried out by the Social Security Fund (CSS) after four dialogue tables held with patients from the Association of Patients with Chronic Renal Failure and the mediation of the Ombudsman, Eduardo Leblanc González.
Leblanc highlighted the decision of the CSS to listen to hemodialysis patients to generate a new tender with suggestions and comments from the patients themselves, who are the ones who experience calamities every day.
For his part, the spokesman for hemodialysis patients Alexander Pineda recognized the role of the Ombudsman in solving the problem.
“We feel happy that the Ombudsman was at our right hand to be the benchmark that things can be resolved in this country,” said Pineda.
The members of the Association of Patients with Chronic Renal Insufficiency participated in the mediation table and the CSS was attended by the Director of the Technical Secretariat for Institutional Responsibility and Support together with Dr. Yelkys Gill, National Executive Director of Services and Benefits in Health.
