The Mortgage Portfolio of the Social Security Fund (CSS) has an approved budget for this year of 20 million balboas and so far 5 million 93 thousand 908 balboas and 59 hundredths have already been approved, reported Briseida de Garibaldo, head of institution mortgage.

He indicated that thanks to the promotion that has been given to this service in recent weeks, more than 1,000 people have taken the opportunity to apply for a mortgage loan with the CSS and are currently waiting for them to return with the required documentation, those who have qualified and carry out each procedure.

For the promotion of the mortgage portfolio, a tour was made to the Azuero area, in the different health facilities of the CSS, where the interested parties were attended personally.

Garibaldo revealed that there is currently a mortgage portfolio of 32 million balboas of loans granted. On the other hand, regarding loans for Pensioners and Retirees, this year more than 1,000 interested people have been attended, for which 5.3 million balboas have been processed and approved to date of the approved budget, which is 25 million. The current portfolio in this program is 41.5 million.
