The Supreme Electoral Council (CSE) proclaimed Daniel Ortega for a fourth consecutive presidential term, the second with his wife and vice president, Rosario Murillo; and a bench of 75 deputies of the Sandinista National Liberation Front (FSLN) in the National Assembly, thus confirming the absolute control of Ortega in both powers of the State.

According to a resolution signed by the director of the CSE’s Attention to Political Parties room, Luis Alfonso Luna, the electoral magistrates handed over the credentials to elected officials on Thursday, among whom are old Ortega operators and well-known political propagandists. .

The list of elected officials published this Friday had a minimal variation in relation to the results published by the CSE one day after the voting and that is that the electoral magistrates They took away the only deputation from the Nicaraguan Christian Way (CCN) party assigned to her in Managua and transferred to the Independent Liberal Party (PLI).

The change in the list of deputies occurs after the president of CCN and former presidential candidate, Guillermo Osorno, denounced at a press conference that the November 7 votes were fraudulent and acknowledged that his party did not control 10% of the 3,106 Voting Centers (CV) authorized nationwide.

Finally, the National Assembly will be made up of 75 deputies from the FSLN, ten from the Constitutionalist Liberal Party (PLC), two from the Nicaraguan Liberal Alliance (ALN), two the Independent Liberal Party (PLI), one the Alliance for the Republic party (APRE) and one the Yatama regional party.

Of the seats for deputies before the Central American Parliament (Parlacen), the FSLN obtained 15, the PLC two, ALN one, APRE one, and PLI one.

The new deputies of the regime

The list of new Ortega deputies is headed by Beloved pineda, who is considered a “Sandinista heroine” and has been promoted within the FSLN for denouncing the murder of her son Francisco Ramón during the 2018 protests. Since then, together with Ortega and Murillo, she has presided over the act of the 39th anniversary of the Sandinista Revolution and has participated in multiple party events.

Political commentators also stand out among the new Sandinista deputies Adolfo Pastran and Moses Absalom Shepherd, who have become known for spreading the propaganda of the regime through their programs on state television.

Pastrán currently directs an informative bulletin in which he promotes government projects, disseminates the “benefits” of the regime and even carries out “economic analyzes” in the regime’s propaganda media that cite him as a source of consultation.

Pastora, for his part, presents a radio and television program in which he insists on disqualifying those who point to violations of the human rights of Nicaraguans and eventually interviews government officials.

The usual

It has also been sanctioned by Canada and the European Union.

Other sanctioned persons who repeat in office and maintain their legislative immunity are: Wálmaro Gutiérrez, as a national deputy, and Edwin castro rivera, as a departmental deputy, who at the end of this legislative period will have completed 25 years in office.
