Azulão’s triumph was achieved thanks to goals from Renato Cajá and Dellatorre (twice). Argentine striker Cano scored the only goal for the Rio team.
CSA returns to the field for the competition, next Tuesday (2) in Barradão, against Vitória. Two days later Vasco visits Guarani.

Avaí also triumphed this Friday, who beat Operário 2-1 at the Germano Krüger stadium. Paulo Sérgio and Alan scored for the Fantasma, while Copete scored for Leão da Ilha.
