“Although he still did not have a final sentence, Ayelmiro Pereira was prosecuted with all the guarantees of due process, for having personally tortured young opposition militants in 1974, in the Metropolitan Guard,” said the organization of former political prisoners. .
The legal case also includes “sexual abuse and rape, along with other atrocities.”

Crysol questions that “paying homage in a democracy to a convict for serious human rights violations is barbaric.”
In addition to offending the victims themselves and society as a whole, “it fails to comply with the obligations of the State in accordance with the international and regional commitments signed by our country since its participation in the approval of the principles of the Nuremberg Tribunal.”
Likewise, Crysol requested that what happened be investigated and that strong sanctions be adopted in this regard, in accordance with current regulations.
