The Financial System Supervision Authority (ASFI) alerted the population on Wednesday about the Facebook profile called RoyalQ Bolivia, which supposedly offers courses in trading or trade with cryptocurrencies -digital or virtual currencies-, which are prohibited in the country and which can lead to cases of fraud.
The Authority, through a statement, indicates that this account of the social network “would be offering supposed trading courses with cryptocurrencies in stock exchanges, as well as promoting digital platforms, applications and others, in order to carry out operations with said cryptocurrencies with extraordinary returns “.
Through the aforementioned Facebook account, attributed to RoyalQ Bolivia, they responded: “Educate yourself to avoid making mistakes like the ASFI that believes that any investment alternative is a ‘Pyramid Scam’ or ‘Ponzi'” (Sic).
The ASFI also recalled that operations with cryptocurrencies are prohibited in Bolivia and recommended that the population be careful with this type of ads so as not to fall into cases of scam or fraud.
“Cryptocurrency operations are not regulated, supervised, or have an operating license issued by the ASFI,” the statement read.
