Many look down on the match for third place in the World Cup. The truth is that Croatia had reasons to celebrate being on the podium in Qatar 2022… 27 million reasons, to be more specific.

FIFA awards prizes to the 32 qualified teams, clearly each one will earn some extra if they advance in the keys and reach the first places.

The soccer governing body will award 440 million dollars among all the participants of Qatar 2022. In addition to 10 thousand dollars per day that will be delivered to the clubs that contributed players to the World Cup, are the following prizes:

– 11 million dollars for qualifying for the World Cup and playing in the group stage.
– 13 million dollars for playing the round of 16.
– 17 million dollars for playing the quarterfinals.
– 25 million dollars for the fourth classified.
– 27 million dollars for the third classified.
– 30 million dollars for the runner-up.
– 42 million dollars for the champion

The entire amount of the prize is cumulative, that is, the champion will collect 42 million dollars by adding all the prizes he could collect in the previous brackets.
