Criticizes opposition for rejecting the zero rate

The senator of the Modern Revolutionary Party (PRM) for the Valverde province, Eddy Nolasco, accused the opposition legislators of turning their backs on the people when they reject the tariffs on 67 products of the basic family basket.

He regretted that for merely political interests they are opposed to the population receiving the cheapest food.

He said that with the project that has already been approved in two readings in the Chamber of Deputies, President Luis Abinader seeks to lower the food basket of the poorest.
