The complaint filed by Vice President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner requested a series of evidentiary measures from the justice system, among which the requests that other members of the group of the group that included Brenda Uliarte and Fernando Sabag Montielthe two main accused of the attack against the former president, reported judicial sources.
Lawyers representing the former president requested that Sergio Eduardo Orozco be summoned as a defendant: This is one of the alleged street vendors who appeared together with Uliarte in the interview they gave on Tuesday, September 2 to the Telefé channel and is also the one who put up the house where the group met hours after the failed attack.
The hearing to Carrizo
The information became known during the hearing this Tuesday in which Nicolás Gabriel Carrizo, leader of the group, demanded his release from prison – which was denied – and his defense attorney, Gaston Maranoasked to incorporate as testimony favorable to his client a statement that he had taken from Orozco before a notary public.
After pointing out that this statement had no value for the process, the lawyer Marcos Aldazabal, representing the lawsuit, warned that they wanted Orozco to be summoned to give an investigative statement so that his eventual contribution to the criminal plan investigated by Judge María could be evaluated. Eugenia Capuchetti and the prosecutor Carlos Rívolo.
Télam was able to confirm from judicial sources that the request to be summoned for an investigation had already been submitted before the hearing this Tuesday before the Federal Chamber of Buenos Aires and is part of the measures that the complaint requested to be processed in reserved files so as not to hinder the progress of the investigation.
From the information extracted from Carrizo’s cell phone and incorporated into the case, it appears that Orozco, nicknamed “Checho”, was worried about having received Uliarte in the house where he lived with his brother..
“I’m up to my hands. Because they’re going to ask him where he was”Orozco complained in a message he sent to Carrizo moments after learning of Uliarte’s arrest, as Télam was able to reconstruct.
New lines of research
From Carrizo’s own communications, other lines of investigation emerge on which the complaint has already focused: one of them places under suspicion a person whom he had scheduled as “Joa” who appears on WhatsApp as someone who, after the attack, handled sensitive information linked to the cause for which Sabag Montiel was already detained.
The prosecution had requested that this person be summoned, named Joanaas a witness, to explain a series of messages that could be useful for the investigation, but as Télam learned, the lawsuit demanded that she be summoned as a defendant.
For the lawyers of the lawsuit, Marcos Aldazabal and José Manuel Ubeira, the person behind those messages seems to be giving instructions to the group about how to move in relation to the judicial investigation that could have them as suspects.
For the lawsuit, investigating the role of “Joa”, along with that of Carrizo, could lead to others possibly involved in the maneuver who would have had an “intellectual” role.
In the judicial file there are four WhatsApp audio messages from “Joa”extracted from Carrizo’s phone, and which correspond to a conversation that took place on Sunday, September 4, when Uliarte was arrested, and lasted until after midnight.
“Friend, I’m not going to empty anything or delete anything and from now on I tell you, don’t even think about deleting anything, because there you are going to flash that you have something to do with it and you have nothing to do with it, lead a normal life, don’t chase each other,” said Joana, whose surname will remain confidential, in one of the audios detected by the justice system.
“Follow your normal life, it’s fart to persecute each other, and that of deleting the chats no, because no matter how much you empty them by the IMEI they track it and they know everything you talk about, what you delete, what you say, you don’t say I mean, they know everything.”recommended them to Carrizo and other contacts in a whatsapp group.
“Also keep in mind that what they talk about, let’s see… there are some who have their cell phones tapped and they are going to continue tapping their cell phones, until they find links, until they find things, continue… let’s see… we all know that no one knew what was behind that person (in reference to Sabag Montiel), because he seemed like a sane, normal, educated, but good person,” he said in another of the messages.
judicial investigations
Although there are still no firm clues, from the federal Justice they insist that all lines of investigation remain open and that they will seek to decipher who could be behind the authors of the failed attack against the vice president that occurred on September 1.
The idea that the attack was planned by people other than those who finally executed it is one of the main lines of investigation promoted by the lawsuit, and this was revealed by the Vice President herself last Friday when she argued in self-defense in the trial that follows. for the case known as “Viality”.
“Nobody can think that this gang (of material authors) planned or devised the intellectual authorship of what they did to me,” said Fernández de Kirchner from his office in the Senate as part of a hearing that was broadcast live through the channel of YouTube ordered by the Federal Oral Court (TOF) 2, which intervenes in that case.
In an effort to move forward with the line that could lead to finding out who orchestrated the attack -if they were people other than those who executed it-, Télam learned that the incoming and outgoing calls of the accused are being analyzed, from where they could emerge connections of interest for research.
