Vice President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner announced on Monday her decision to challenge federal judge Julián Ercolini in a case investigating former AFIP chiefs of macrismo, since the magistrate is involved in the trip to Joe Lewis’ ranch, in the south of the country, together with other judges, officials and journalistic businessmen.
“I have instructed my lawyer to challenge Judge Ercolini in the case in which he is investigating the illegal maneuvers carried out by Alberto Abad and Leandro Cuccioli from the AFIP, during the management of Mauricio Macri, to persecute me and my two children”said the former president on her Twitter account.

“The cause originated from the facts denounced and investigated by the competent bodies of the AFIP, as well as from the documentation found in said body,” recalled Fernández de Kirchner.
The head of the Senate maintained that “the recusal of Ercolini is based on his already famous trip to Lago Escondido together with other judges, officials of (Horacio) Rodríguez Larreta, intelligence agents and directors of the Clarín Telecom group.”

The Vice President also shared the recusal document through the social network where the complaint details that “in the framework of an internal audit carried out by the collecting entity, it was established that the AFIP, under the leadership of Alberto Abad and Leandro Cuccioli diagrammed multiple illegal actions to persecute and harass the Kirchner family, committing, among others, the crimes of abuse of authority, breach of duties as a public official, and illicit association.”
In this sense, it was stressed that these crimes investigated “They do not constitute isolated episodes, but rather are part of a set of concerted criminal actions from the highest spheres of the previous National Government,”
And they highlighted that within this government headed by Mauricio Macri “a judicial panel was formed which, together with media groups and complicit judges and prosecutors, carried out a fierce persecution against Dr. Cristina Fernández de Kirchner and her family”.
In addition, he would have shared with them “a luxurious stay in the private room of magnate Joe Lewis, who, as is public knowledge, maintains a friendly relationship with former President Mauricio Macri.”
And it was added in the document that “There are strong indications that show that the trip in question would have been paid for by the aforementioned multimedia, which is why the Prosecutor (of Bariloche María Cándida) Etchepare urged criminal action in order to the possible commission of the crimes of breaches of duties of officials public, offering and receiving gifts“.
“The panorama evidenced, before the gaze of any observer who has a minimum of objectivity, denotes that Judge Julián Ercolini cannot and should not continue to lead this process, since there is a severe and well-founded objective fear of partiality in his regard” , completed the recusal.
