This Friday will take place before the Federal Oral Court 2 the third day of the plea in defense of the Vice President in the trial for the alleged direction of public works in Santa Cruz in favor of the businessman Lázaro Báez during his Presidency.
Last Tuesday, the head of the Senate, in addition to confirming that she was going to make her own defense in the trial, pointed against Luciani and Mola, noting that the prosecutors “look like trolls.”
He also said that his lawyer “demolished the lies and fake news” of the accusers, he paraphrased Juan Domingo Perón and snapped at them that “he comes back from anywhere, except ridiculous”.
In closing his technical argument, Beraldi confirmed that “Dr. Fernández de Kirchner is going to take part in the exposition of this allegation and she is going to do it in accordance with article 104, which gives her that right as a lawyer to be able to act on her own behalf.”.
Article 104 of the Criminal Procedure Code states that “The accused shall have the right to be defended by a lawyer of the registration of his trust or by the official defender; may also defend himself personally provided that this does not prejudice the effectiveness of the defense and does not impede the normal conduct of the process.

The two-time President recorded her statement on Twitter, with a text that was accompanied by a video of just over two minutes in which part of her defense argument is heard and the names of the national deputies who approved those budgets are read. .
The Vice President transcribed the presentation of her defense in the arguments, which said: “No legislator was pressured or coerced to vote favorably on the budget laws for the 2004-2015 period”.
Margarita Stolbizer was mentioned on the payroll, in the periods 2003-2005 and 2009-2017; Fernando Sánchez, 2007-2009 and 2013-2017, and Ariel Osvaldo Passini, 2007-2011.
He added that “the alternative budget projects prepared by the opposition included the same works that are questioned in this case.” And he mentioned the project of the National Executive Power of 2010, the alternative of 2010 and the alternative of 2011.
