The Portuguese Cristiano Ronaldo won the game against the Spanish Joselu and led Al Nassr to victory (1-3) with a double in the Asian Champions League match that pitted the Saudi team against the Qatari Al Gharafa this Monday.
A clash that revolved at all times around the figure of the Portuguese star, who once again led the attack of Al Nassr that has its beginning and end in the figure of Cristiano Ronaldo.
As was clear after a minute of play in the second half, when the Portuguese attacker opened the scoring for the visitors (0-1) by completing a cross from the right wing by full-back Sultan Al Ghannam with a spectacular header against the that the Spanish goalkeeper Sergio Rico could do nothing.
A goal that seemed to end Al Gharafa’s resistance, which saw twelve minutes later, in the 58th minute, that the Saudi team was on track to victory with a goal from the Brazilian Angelo, establishing the momentary 0-2 after a sensational one-two with the Portuguese Otavio.
A result that did not serve, however, to appease Cristiano Ronaldo’s voracity, which at 39 years old remains insatiable.
An ambition that found its reward in the 64th minute with a goal that not only served to definitively seal the visitor’s victory (1-3), but also helped the Portuguese score the 913th goal of his career.
Spanish striker Joselu, who at times made Qatar’s Al Gharafa dream of the possibility of equalizing the contest, counts much less in his career, after scoring in the 75th minute to make it 1-3 for the locals.
A dream that was definitively shattered with six minutes remaining in regulation time with the expulsion for a double yellow card of Senegalese defender Saydou Sano.
