A petition for the Electoral Prosecutor’s Office to investigate and put an end to the accumulation of dismissals, harassment and pressures that are taking place in the Government, was presented by the pre-candidate for the presidency of the republic for the Democratic Revolutionary Party, Crispiano Adames.
According to the deputy, the dismissals and persecutions take place against those who decide to support him in his proselytizing, ahead of the June 11 primaries.
The dismissals of officials from different hierarchies are intensifying in the state apparatus, for not supporting the government candidate, Adames said, while calling on the executive to stop the harassment and threats, which seize the payroll state, for the fact of supporting his proposal as a presidential candidate.
As an example, he presented the case of an official who yesterday worked for a state entity in the Puerto Armuelles corregimiento and was transferred to Renacimiento, some 350 km away from his home, arguing that he did not attend the act where the Vice President of the republic would make presence.
The dismissal of the sub CDN, delegate, national director of circuit 8-3 Jorge Carrasquilla, who worked in the Cleaning Authority; likewise, the cessation of work for the daughter of the PRD pre-candidate for circuit 12-1 Felicia Billboard, are the other examples of intimidation actions for giving her support to the candidate of box #6.
Also, the separation of the political militant Cristopher Rider from the AAUD, for the Ministry of Commerce and Industries and his subsequent dismissal.
Due to the foregoing, Deputy Crispiano Adames said that it is time for the Electoral Prosecutor to intervene, to stop the harassment and limit the participants to supporting a particular figure.
For the also president of the National Assembly, it is unfortunate that two thirds of the National Executive Committee of his party, which mostly works in the government, instead of maintaining neutrality in this electoral event facing the primaries, are leaning towards the opponent, the vice president.
The competition for the presidency becomes more difficult, emphasizes the politician, when the Executive Committee itself has not structured the electoral corporations, to know who the participants in the process are and their residence.
“Never in the history that I have lived in the party of Omar Torrijos, has there been so much restlessness, restlessness and uncertainty in the group where I have been a member for more than 38 years, the electoral body has to intervene,” he reiterated.
Adames challenged the government candidate to show how strong he claims to be, to let his bases act freely, avoid pressing and check if he really has the support of the PRD.
