The Seventh National Preparatory Investigation Court granted the appeal filed by the defense of the fugitive from justice, Vladimir Cerrón, and his brother, the vice president of Congress, Waldemar Cerrón Rojas, against the resolution that declared unfounded their request to archive the investigation for the crime of criminal organization against the State.

Judge Jorge Chávez Tamariz ordered that this judicial incident be referred to the Superior Court.
The suspects requested that their case be archived, based on Law 32108, which amended the Law against Organized Crime, the Penal Code and the Code of Criminal Procedure.
The President of Congress, Eduardo Salhuana, said that the organized crime law will be reviewed this Friday.
