Two police officers were killed during separate attacks that occurred between Saturday and Sunday.
On Saturday night, a Miranda state police officer was killed after being shot during an ambush perpetrated by members of the criminal organization founded by Deiber Johan González (34), alias Carlos Capa, according to sources from the security agency.
This incident occurred on Saturday night in the San Bernardo sector, Ocumare del Tuy (Miranda) where Polimiranda officials were attacked by members of Carlos Capa’s gang.
In that case, officer Rafael Sulbarin (23) was shot in the left parietal region with exposure of the brain mass, the only entry hole with no exit, according to the diagnosis.
The officer was initially transferred to the “Simón Bolívar” general hospital, located in Ocumare del Tuy, from where he was referred to the “Victorino Santaella” hospital in Los Teques (Miranda). He died on the way to that health center, says the report.

Nerio was shot in the chest that caused his death that same Saturday. They presume that the author of the shot is officer Carlos Romero, assigned to the Cycling Brigade Service of the Bolivarian National Police.
The Inspectorate for Control of Police Actions (Icap) opened an internal investigation while the Cicpc substantiates the criminal file, explained a source.
