Criminal case opened against 35 people for money laundering in the Odebrecht case

The Third Criminal Cases Liquidator Court of the First Judicial Circuit of Panama, led by Judge Baloisa Marquínez, opened a criminal case against 35 people accused of crimes against economic order in the form of money laundering in the Odebrecht case.

The judge issued a call for trial against a citizen investigated within this criminal case for the crime against the national economy.

Additionally, it provisionally dismissed 11 people and permanently dismissed one citizen for the crime of money laundering. It also ordered the lifting of the personal and real precautionary measures that had been imposed on some people.

According to the judicial body, the court set the full hearing date from August 1 to 18, 2023 at 9:00 a.m. and the date from September 27 to October 17, 2023 at the same time.
