A new episode of violence was recorded in Junín when a family was having dinner and suddenly five armed men entered a property to steal everything within their reach. The criminals murdered four members of a family without any mercy.
The men broke into a coffee farm in the Alto Kokari-Rio Venado sector and subsequently shot the owners and their son. They then opened fire on another relative. Two of the owner’s sons were able to hide and were saved.
The victims were identified as Cirila Iñigo Rivas, Zócimo Matos Carhuamaca, Zócimo Matute Matos Iñigo and Feliciano Cahuana Castro. It was learned that two of them died after being transferred to the hospital.
“My brother shouted ‘thieves’ and they shot him. My parents tried to defend him, but they were also attacked.“Wilber, one of the survivors, said that the criminals broke into the place to demand money and coffee production.
One of the criminals was identified in the robbery and is a citizen who had been working in the family business for a few weeks. The subject gained the trust of the owners, however, he disappeared from one day to the next.
Finally, they indicated that the criminals fled in a van that they parked near the farm. Family members and friends of the victims are asking for justice.
