Creel: AMLO will only waste an hour of his time if he agrees to meet with me

Interviewed in the framework of the swearing-in of PAN member Tere Jiménez as governor of Aguascalientes, Creel Miranda pointed out that his request to meet with the Federal Executive is made as a former Secretary of the Interior, because according to the experience he had in that position and as member of the security cabinet, “we were able to reduce crimes by practically 30%”.

In addition, he stressed that the problem is not whether or not the Army remains in the streets until 2028, because after that date that issue will have to be discussed again.

“Extensions always end in guillotines. In other words, from one day to the next, the Army, the Armed Forces and the National Guard stop helping, and then what is going to happen? We all know: in the year 2028 what will happen is the same as now, where nothing has been done by the civil police, and by the police of the states”, he said.

“I are very insistent. They told me that it was impossible to get a Political Reform when the PRI had hegemony, and the Political Reform came out in 1996, they told me that it was impossible to get the PRI out of the presidency, and I coordinated Vicente Fox’s campaign for 2 and a half years, and we beat the hegemonic PRI. So, for Santiago Creel, politics is the art of making the impossible possible, for me Mexico comes first, I am here for Mexico”, he commented.
