MIAMI, United States. — Authorities in Havana announced today a package of measures to organize the sale of fuel in the capital, a territory where they are registered daily numerous queues at gas stations and other supply centers.
A note appeared in the Portal of the Citizen of Havana indicates that the objective of the new provisions is to “mitigate the effects of customer crowds in the area of the tracks, the queues for several hours in the areas surrounding the service centers, the sale of shifts by unscrupulous people who They take advantage of the situation and others such as choleros, and social indiscipline ”.
Among the organizational measures to “enable access to the sale of fuel by the population” is the designation in each service center of a person in charge who, “accompanied by other factors, will proceed to register the customer’s personal data: name and surname ; numbers of the identity card, of the circulation of the vehicle, the license plate and the mobile phone by which you can be located”.
The Government of Havana indicates that the person in charge of yore will inform the potential buyer of the consecutive registration number or order number that it has, something that is already done in the Servicentro El Tángana, in the Plaza de la Revolución municipality.
This person in charge – the note expands – “will create an information group on a digital platform”, in this case WhatsApp or Telegram, so that the numbers or records to which the fuel purchase corresponds during the day can be shared.
“Based on the amount of fuel delivered at each station, the service center administrator and the person in charge will calculate the number of vehicles that will be able to enable that day and will inform the group. To the extent that the vehicles are enabled, if possible the inclusion of new capabilities, it will be informed by the digital platform, ”adds the information.
The authorities point out that, “with the guarantee of fuel at the service center, according to the order of arrival and once it is verified that the client is summoned, a ticket or voucher will be given (to the client), which will be collected on the track when enabled, as a record”.

The note points out that these measures began to be implemented today and that the registration of new sales requests will take place on Saturday, April 29, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon.
