For this purpose, The CRC will convene television channels to a collaborative work space aimed at identifying good practices and designing joint strategies that promote diversity and plurality of information in the country.
As announced by the Commission, interested entities will be invited to this exercise, including the Attorney General’s Office and the Ombudsman’s Office, to participate as guarantors of the process, ensuring its development within a framework of transparency, participation and collective construction.
“The Commission reaffirms that it has acted within the framework of its legal and constitutional powers, aimed at promoting pluralism, informative impartiality and protecting the rights of audiences. At the same time, it recognizes and values the concerns expressed by different actors in the ecosystem, assuming them as an opportunity to strengthen trust, consolidate cooperation with television channels and move towards closer, legitimate and supported by transparency and dialogue”, added the entity.
