Covid: the departments of the central axis concentrate more than 68% of the country's infections

This Thursday, the Ministry of Health and Sports reported that 6,938 cases of Covid were detected, after 20,189 nasal antigen tests were carried out throughout Bolivia. With these figures, it can be seen that there is a de-escalation of cases, however, The central axis of the country continues to concentrate the largest number of infected with 68%.

La Paz is the department that concentrates the most contagions, with 1,817, is followed by Cochabamba with 1,530 and Santa Cruz with 1,411. While in Tarija there were 613, in Chuquisaca 414, in Potosí 404, in Oruro 357, in Pando 198 and in Beni 194.

In this way, the accumulated number of cases confirmed by Covid, since the pandemic began in March 2,020 reached 835,170, of which 148,607 remain active in Bolivia. While the number of recovered rose to 665,789, after 5,828 patients defeated the virus.

The National Directorate of Epidemiology regretted the death of 54 people due to complications of the illness.

According to the Ministry of Health, to date 5,669,847 people received the first vaccine against Covid, 4,148,435 for the second, 994,961 for the single dose and 845,520 for the booster vaccine. The doses used in the country are: Sputnik V, AstraZeneca, Sinopharm, Pfizer, Janssen and Moderna.
