Regarding the increase in cases, the authority said that “the regions with an increase in new confirmed cases in the last 7 days are Arica and Parinacota, Los Ríos, Atacama and Magallanes.”
The positivity of cases by PCR in the last 24 hours, he concluded “is 2.2% and the average of the last 7 days is 2.0%. The regions, according to sampling, with the highest average PCR positivity in the last 7 days are: Los Ríos, Los Lagos, Valparaíso and Biobío.
To date, 555 people are hospitalized in Intensive Care Units, of which 480 are on mechanical ventilation support. Regarding the Integrated Health Network, there is a total of 246 critical beds available for the patient who requires it, regardless of the region where they are.
There are 48 Sanitary Residences, with 4,661 total beds. The real occupation nationwide is 40%, leaving a total of 2,274 beds available to be used.
