Covid: Bolivia returns to scratch in the thousand daily cases

From the first day of November, Covid-19 infections in the country did not stop rising. This Friday 7,879 nasal antigen tests were performed and 976 were positive, a figure that had not been recorded for several weeks. This increase in cases is accompanied by the entry of the fourth wave in Bolivia.

According to the Ministry of Health and Sports Santa Cruz is the department most affected by this regrowth, since it concentrates 617 new infected, followed by Cochabamba with 118, La Paz with 87, Chuquisaca with 59 and Tarija with 53. In Oruro there were 21 patients, 13 in Beni, seven in Potosí and one in Pando.

In this way, the accumulated infections, since the pandemic began in March 2020, amounted to 517,229 in Bolivia, of which 18,960 remain active. While those recovered rose to 478,391, after 603 patients defeated the virus this day.

Also I know mourns the death of nine people from complications caused by Covid, which caused the total number of deaths to reach 18,960 in the nine departments.

Regarding vaccination, the Ministry of Health reported that to date 7,931,790 doses have been applied of the Sputnik V, AstraZeneca, Sinopharm, Pfizer and Janssen vaccines throughout the national territory. 3,666,673 received the first vaccine, 2,963,060 completed the schedule, 944,617 the single dose, and 357,440 received the booster vaccine.
