Covid-19: Venezuela registered 48 new infections

Delcy Rodriguezvice president of the government of Nicolás Maduro, reported that 48 new cases of covid-19 were registered in Venezuela in the last 24 hours.

In the balance published this Saturday on her Twitter account, the Chavista official explained that all the infections were caused by community transmission.

He indicated that Guárico and Vargas led the cases of coronavirus, with 12. Later, Caracas appeared with 10 and Lara with 6 infections.

Rodríguez also announced that one deceased was registered due to causes derived from the disease.

“We regret to inform you that in the last hours a 28-year-old man died of the coronavirus in the state of Barinas,” wrote.

Since the start of the pandemic to date, 521,373 cases have been registered. Of this number, there are 513,964 recovered patients.

The death rate as a result of the disease stands at 5,693, according to data handled by the government of Nicholas Maduro.

“The priority of the Bolivarian government and President Nicolás Maduro is the protection of the health and life of our people. Vaccination and special care have been the main tool to keep the #COVID19 infection curve flattened. We cannot neglect ourselves,” Rodríguez said in a final tweet.
