Covid-19: Santa Cruz registers 17 new cases this Sunday and reports little influx at vaccination points

Santa Cruz reported this Sunday 17 new positive cases of Covid-19and raised its total positives to 102,684 infections so far this year.

Carlos Hurtado, director of Epidemiology at Headquarters, stressed that cThe cases of Covid-19 continue to decline in the department of Santa Cruz, thanks to the vaccination actions and strategies throughout the Santa Cruz territory.

“Today, Sunday, we have 17 positive cases.it is a very low figure that has to do with the control we are carrying out and also because the laboratories work at their minimum capacity on the weekend, “explained Hurtado.

In relation to those recovered, this Sunday 120 patients managed to recover from the diseasemaking 128,617 people have overcome the virus, so far this year.

On the other hand, he recommended that the population go to the vaccination points, given that on this day only 448 people have been immunized against Covid-19.
