In a new daily report of Covid-19 delivered by the Ministry of Health, 10,842 new infections were reported, with a positivity of 14.28% nationwide. Regarding deaths, the DEIS reported 32 deaths associated with the disease in the last 24 hours.
The daily positivity in the Metropolitan Region is 16.21%, while two regions have decreased their cases in the last seven days and none have in the last two weeks. The variation of new confirmed cases at the national level is 10% and 42% for the comparison of seven and 14 days, respectively.
According to sample collection, the regions with the highest positivity in the last week are Valparaíso, O’Higgins, Coquimbo and the Metropolitan.

According to today’s report, of the 10,842 new cases of COVID-19, 5,933 correspond to symptomatic people and 1,726 do not present symptoms. In addition, 3,183 Positive PCR tests were registered that were not reported.
To date, 168 people are hospitalized in Intensive Care Units, of which 109 are supported by mechanical ventilation. In relation to the Integrated Health Network, there are a total of 276 critical beds available for the patient who requires it, regardless of the region where they are located.
Regarding the Sanitary Residences, there are 28 accommodation facilities, with a total of 2,262 beds. The actual occupancy at the national level is 57%, leaving a total of 738 beds available for use.
