Covid-19: number of daily deaths in Colombia approaches 200

Covid-19 cases in the country continue to rise. This January 21, 2022, Colombia registered 31,039 new infections, according to the Ministry of Health.

The total number of coronavirus infections rose to 5,686,065, after processing 85,511 tests (39,876 PCR and 45,635 antigens).

In turn, the report shows 197 more deaths from the virus. With this update, the total number of deaths in Colombia amounts to 131,824.

According to health authorities, the number of active cases was this Friday at 149,462.

So they are already 5,385,402 patients who to date have overcome covid-19 in the country, of which 32,126 occurred in the last hours.

In the world there are already 344,904,162 confirmed cases and the number of deaths from this cause amounts to 5,581,538.
