COVID-19: New infections fall to 5,714 in 24 hours;  the lowest number in the year

The incidence rate of accumulated cases is 4,160.4 per 100,000 inhabitants, while the distribution by sex in confirmed cases shows a predominance in women (51.9%). The median age overall is 39 years.

The entities with the most infections are Mexico City, the State of Mexico, Nuevo León, Guanajuato, Jalisco, Tabasco, San Luis Potosí, Veracruz, Puebla and Sonora, which together make up 64% of all the accumulated cases registered in the country.

As of today’s information cutoff, there are 68,033 active cases registered with an incidence rate of 52.3 per 100 thousand inhabitants (From February 07 to 20, 2022).

Sedesa CDMX decreases application of Covid tests

The Secretary of Health of Mexico City reported as of this Monday, February 21, two Macrokiosks and the modules for Covid-19 tests installed in shopping centers, will stop providing service due to a decrease in infections registered in recent weeks.

The measure applies to the macro-kiosk of the Parque de Colonia Prohogar, in the Azcapotzalco mayor’s office; as well as the Parque Juana de Asbaje, in the Tlalpan demarcation, as well as in the modules located in 10 shopping malls: Parque Las Atenas, Parque Tezontle, Parque Vía Vallejo, Zentralia Churubusco, Galerías Perisur, Centro Comercial Santa Fe, Forum Buenavista, as well as in the Chedraui Universidad, Aragón and Tenayuca. The agency reported that free tests to detect Covid will be maintained in the 117 health centers of the 16 mayors.
