According to sampling, the regions with the highest positivity in the last week are Biobío, Antofagasta, Los Lagos and O’Higgins. Meanwhile, the Los Ríos region has the highest current incidence rate per 100,000 inhabitants, followed by Atacama, Aysén and Los Lagos.
According to today’s report, of the 2,725 new cases of Covid-19, 1,894 correspond to symptomatic people and 178 do not present symptoms. In addition, 653 positive PCR tests were registered that were not notified.
The total number of people who have been diagnosed with the disease caused by coronavirus in the country reaches 5,177,770. Of this total, 8,065 patients are in the active stage, considering a 5-day isolation from the onset of symptoms or from taking the test, according to the Opening phase criteria. As of yesterday, 83 people were hospitalized in Intensive Care Units, of which 67 remained with mechanical ventilation support. Regarding the Integrated Health Network, there are a total of 316 critical beds available for the patient who requires it, regardless of the region where they are located.
Regarding the Laboratory Network and diagnostic capacity, yesterday the results of 15,064 PCR tests and antigen tests were reported, reaching a total of 48,501,621 analyzed nationwide to date. The positivity for the last 24 hours at the country level is 12.59% and in the Metropolitan Region it is 12.60%.
Regarding the Health Residences, we have 3 accommodation facilities, with a total of 133 beds. The actual occupancy at the national level is 51%, leaving a total of 47 beds available for use.
