The Ministry of Health reported that new confirmed cases at the national level show a drop of 13% in the last week, while in the last 14 days the decrease is 12%. Meanwhile, 13 regions decrease their new confirmed cases in the last 7 days and nine, the cases in the last 14 days
According to sampling, the regions with the highest positivity in the last week are O’Higgins, Antofagasta, Arica and Parinacota, and Los Lagos. Likewise, the Atacama region has the highest current incidence rate per 100,000 inhabitants, followed by the Los Ríos, Ñuble and Aysén regions.
According to today’s report, of the 4,460 new cases of Covid-19, 2,355 correspond to symptomatic people and 549 do not present symptoms. In addition, 1,556 Positive PCR tests were registered that were not notified.
The total number of people who have been diagnosed with coronavirus in the country reaches 4,905,535. Of this total, 15,175 patients are in the active stage, considering a 5-day isolation from the onset of symptoms or from taking the test, according to the Opening phase criteria. The recovered cases are 4,814,059.
Regarding deaths, according to the information provided by the DEIS, in the last 24 hours there were 25 deaths from causes associated with the disease. The total number of deaths amounts to 62,357 in the country.
To date, 147 people are hospitalized in Intensive Care Units, of which 97 are supported by mechanical ventilation. Regarding the Integrated Health Network, there are a total of 227 critical beds available for the patient who requires it, regardless of the region where they are located.
Regarding the Laboratory Network and diagnostic capacity, yesterday the results of 29,696 PCR tests and antigen tests were reported, reaching a total of 46,971,482 analyzed nationwide to date. The positivity for the last 24 hours at the country level is 14.78% and in the Metropolitan Region it is 13.8%.
Regarding the Health Residences, we have 13 accommodation facilities, with a total of 794 beds. The real occupancy at the national level is 37%, leaving a total of 382 beds available for use.
