COVID-19: Mexico registers the lowest number of infections of the year

This is the second time this year that the case mark has fallen below the 1,000 threshold. The first time was this Sunday, March 20, when 901 infections were reported. In addition, since December 2021, no daily cases of less than 900 were reported.

The SSa detailed that the distribution by sex in confirmed cases shows a predominance of 52% in women. The median age overall is 38 years. In the case of casualties, they are more common among men, who represent 62% of these.

In the last five weeks, most of the cases are present in the groups of 30 to 39 years, followed by the group of 18 to 19 years and 40 to 49 years.

The 10 entities in Mexico with the most accumulated confirmed cases are: Mexico City, State of Mexico, Nuevo León, Guanajuato, Jalisco, Tabasco, San Luis Potosí, Veracruz, Puebla and Sonora, which together make up 64% of all cases. accumulated registered in the country.

As of today’s information cutoff, there are 11,758 active cases registered, that is, they presented symptoms in the last 14 days.
