COVID-19: Mexico exceeds 305,000 deaths after completing 23 months of the pandemic

The health agency detailed that in one day 45,115 cases were reported, thus accumulating the fourth day in a row with more than 44,000 infections.

The distribution by sex in the confirmed cases shows a predominance in women of 51.4%; while deaths have a higher incidence among men, with 62%.

In the last five weeks, most of the cases are present in the groups of 18 to 29 years, followed by the group of 30 to 39 years and 40 to 49 years.

The 10 entities in the country with the most accumulated confirmed cases are: Mexico City, State of Mexico, Nuevo León, Guanajuato, Jalisco, Tabasco, San Luis Potosí, Sonora, Puebla and Veracruz, which together make up 64% of all accumulated cases registered in the country.

In addition, 283,281 active cases have been registered, that is, they presented symptoms in the last 14 days. The SSa also revealed that until today’s information cutoff, there are 13,907 deaths suspected of COVID-19, including those pending by laboratory and those in the process of association.
